Empty promises

The Liberals have come out recently with a few announcements that are as substantial as twinkies. They are just filled with fluff.

1. The Liberals announced an all out ban on handguns … except for “Legitimate target shooters who meet requirements would be eligible for an exemption to the handgun ban.” So to paraphrase “all handguns will be illegal, except for the legal ones.”
2. The Liberal announced “new” childcare money last week. As the headline says “Liberal Child Care Commitment will be Made Permanent.” In other words “we will continue to fund the system after we set it up” … I would think that could be assumed. I was obviously wrong.

Lesson: Read very carefully or you will be fooled.
